Excellent value for the price, though not a $900 printer

This is my second personal 3D and I've worked with more than a half dozen more, including ones that cost well over $20,000. For less than $400, I doubt you could do significantly better. It is not perfect, but it's ridiculously easy to assemble and operate. It had a few fits and starts in the beginning, mostly because the AnyCubic i3 Mega cannot maintain a hotbed temperature above 100 in my heated office (usually at 24 degrees Celsius / 75 degrees Fahrenheit thanks to all the equipment) See first picture. Fortunately, a $1.67 HomeDepot cardboard box (2 foot on side) with some cut outs for the filament and cords, a side-door cut out, and a rectangle to view and operate the touch screen), and it could hold 110 just fine. Picture included. Even with the high-end enclosing above, not expect ...

  • Top critical review

    Good printer poor suport

well designed and built and prints great but quit after a week anycubic support is hopeless still a good printer if you can work on it your self and the price is great and a lot for the money the ultra base bed is awesome and works as advertised just sad that the support is so slow and unhelpful replacement parts are reasonable if you can repair it your self its ok if not I would pass ended up buying a replacement main board for 25 bucks and 5 4988 stepper drivers for 6 bucks rather than fool around with anycubics support

  • Anycubic i3 Mega- Should I buy one??

In Short the answer is YES!! This is the Third 3D printer I've bought and out of the box this has beaten my other printers in most every aspect A Wifi connnection would be nice but that is my one and only issues. I was up and printing in less than 20 minutes. The print quality is fantastic and the features can not be beat at this price point. This printer was purchased to test if it could handle the demands for my company PM Gaming Systems. We desing and print game terrain for tabletop gaming. Our customers expect quality and the Anycubic i3 Mega Delivers on every front. If you are new to 3D print I can say with all honesty this is a fantastic system to start with. IF you are a seasoned vet then this is a great system to add to your stable. We will be buying at least 10 more of these for ...

  • Great printer for the price

This is the second I3 Mega that I bought - the first one has been running for over a year pretty much 24x7 and the only problem with that was the surface of the print bed falling apart (they sent a replacement, installation was easy). I also replaced one hotend (my fault, did not realize it was ABS on the spool and tried to print with PLA settings and thought it was clogged...). The print quality is really good (compared to the Microcenter Flashforge clones I had before) and even though the out of material sensor is pretty much standard today, it is a very nice feature to have and saved me on quite a few prints now. Bottom line, even after over one year extensive use, it prints like on the first day and I would highly recommend this printer. There may be better ones and ones with a ...

  • Great lo w cost printer!

11I'm have owned other fdm printers and they can be very finicky. Customer support for those old printers was c virtually nonexistent. I decided to try the i3 mega mostly because of the glowing customer support reviews. I am glad I did! My printer seemed doa at first. I shot off an email and to my surprise, I got a reply within an hour...mostly due to time difference. After a string if simple debugging we figured out that a pc board had dislodged itself just enough so the unit would not power up, then when I got it to turn on it did not accept any commands on the lcd. I resealed the board and have been printing almost nonstop ever since! Excellent customer service and wonderful printing experience as well as quality of print! PLA prints without issue. I have had problems trying to ...
